Karen Peeters is Tirzah-Quartet's harp player and gives our group a special richness in sound.

Karen studied harp at the Lemmens-Institute in Leuven and became a Laureate in 1994 under the tuition of Annie Lavoisier.She worked with numerous orchestras and for 12 years  was linked to the "Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège" as a free-lance player and plays regularly with the Brussels Philharmonic.

She was linked to a children's Theater Production for three years : "De Rode Draak" of Theater de Spiegel.

Karen loves to play chamber music and is asked regularly in ad-hoc formations.  Renowned Ensembles in which she played include : "Karisa" (harp duo) and "Sahf4" (a quartet of soprano, viola, flute and harp)

"Harp and Bones" is one of her most recent projects : With Carlo Mertens on trombone she created a programme in which Carlo is both narrator and trombone-player.

Since 1994, Karen teaches harp at the Municipal Academy of Lier and is a member of "La Passione", the school's Chamber Orchestra.
